Motorcycle Sunglasses

Are you a motorcycle enthusiast? It's important when riding that you have adequate facial protection. This can be maintained using a few different pieces of safety equipment, including a helmet with visor, or sunglasses specifically manufactured for motorcycle rides.

Motorcycle Helmets: Full Face, Visors

If you are wearing a motorcycle helmet while riding your bike, make sure it protects your eyes. If it is full face, ride with the shield down to avoid particles coming into contact with your eyes or face. Full face helmets are fine as long as they are DOT or Snell approved. We do not recommend wearing sunglasses under a full face helmet.

Visors

A visor is another facial protection unit that does a good job. We actually recommend wearing a visor or a shield instead of sunglasses while riding just because it's safer. Sunglasses are smaller and break easier; shields and visors are built by manufacturers knowing they have to absorb a kinetic impact.

Sunglasses: MUST BE SHATTERPROOF!

This is really, really important guys and gals! If you do not wear a shield or visor while riding your motorcycle, and decide to wear shades, they absoloutely must be shaterproof. If your sunglasses are not shatterproof there is a good percentage chance that broken plastic or glass may enter your eyes. Be careful!
